DIY Bloom & Wonder Ideas Notebook

If you are anything like me then you will always get the greatest craft inspiration when you have no way of noting it down! I always tend to get sparks of inspiration for card making and crafting at random times, and I always forget them.

To try and conquer this I decided to make myself an Ideas notebook, a small notebook that will fit in my handbag to allow me to write down these random craft ideas, making sure I don't forget them (though I may look at them later and wonder what the hell I was thinking).

After a quick look through the Cricut Design Space I found a notebook shape that looked perfect, small size and easy to remove and add more pages. I decided to make the notebook using the First Edition Bloom & Wonder paper pad I had recently received from Trimcraft, it is gorgeous and I love just flicking through the paper pad so thought it might make a good inspiration sparker.

To make your own Ideas Notebook you will need
  • First Edition Bloom & Wonder Paper Pad
  • Pink Metallic Card (Mine is from the Dovecraft Mermaid & Unicorn Pack)
  • Gold glitter letters (Available from most craft shops)
  • Plain coloured paper
  • Twine
  • Double sided tape
  • Craft Foam
The new First Edition Bloom & Wonder Paper Pad is available at  CraftStash & Amazon.

I used my Cricut Explore Air to make this notebook but I think you would be able to cut it out yourself and use a corner punch to get the rounded corners.

To start with open Cricut Design Space and search for the below images and add to a canvas, you will need these to create your notebook cover. Cut these out using your Cricut and stick together using double sided tape

Below is the stages I did to decorate my front cover, feel free to follow all my steps or customise to make it personal to you.

Firstly I resixed the image #M43C87 to a width of 2.9" and cut out it out twice - Once with patterned paper & once with pink metallic card. I then cut each in half and stuck to my notebook

Next I cut out a square 2.9" x 2.9" from the First Edition Bloom & Wonder Pad and attached it to the front of the notebook using craft form

I then resized #M42C7B in Cricut Design space to height 3" and cut it out using the pink metallic card and Bloom & Wonder paper. I then attached this to my notebook using craft foam and added on the glitter letters.

To finish you will need to cut out your notebook pages (image: #M83ADD) as many times as you need.
Once cut out line the pages up in your notebook and thread through your twine to hold them all together.

Now make sure to keep it handy for all your crafty ideas!

First Edition Making Memories Card

I could spend hours just looking through the Cricut Design Space, there is so much inspiration to be had and so many different projects! Whilst scrolling through the Design Space one Saturday afternoon I found the 'Hexagon Quilt Card', a cute card designed to look like a quilt. As soon as I saw it I thought of my mum, she is loves sewing and has recently started quilting classes, and it is her birthday soon. I decided to make the card using the First Edition Making Memories Paper Pad. This fun paper pad has quite a modern palette of pinks, purples and mint green with glitter accents. Adorned with beautiful hand lettering and elements including florals, hearts, love letters, and geometric patterns – it seemed perfect to create this Quilt Birthday Card. Firstly I found the Quilt Card Design on Cricut Design Space (Hexagon Quilt Card) and then picked which patterns to choose. I choose 5 different patterns from the Making Memories paper pad and teamed these up with a lila

DIY Valentines Love Shaker Jar

Finally, January is nearly over! This month has felt like it would never end and I am definitely looking forward to February, the days will get lighter, pancake day (I LOVE pancakes) and Valentine's Day. I'm not much of a Valentine's person but I do love pretty patterned paper and will take any excuse to create a shaker card! To create this Cricut Made Card you will need: Paper Addicts Forever & Always  Dovecraft Adhesive Glitter Paper Acetate Sequins Craft foam Double sided tape Gems 6" x 6" card blank First you will need to cut your background paper to the same size as your card blank (6" x 6") - I used the Love Hearts paper but pick your favourite and then stick to the card blank using the double sided tape. Next cut a rectangle (6" x 3") from a complementary patterned paper - I chose to use the pink flowers and stick to the card using craft foam. Now it's time to cut out your shaker jar! Open your Cri
