DIY Valentines Love Shaker Jar

Finally, January is nearly over! This month has felt like it would never end and I am definitely looking forward to February, the days will get lighter, pancake day (I LOVE pancakes) and Valentine's Day. I'm not much of a Valentine's person but I do love pretty patterned paper and will take any excuse to create a shaker card! To create this Cricut Made Card you will need: Paper Addicts Forever & Always  Dovecraft Adhesive Glitter Paper Acetate Sequins Craft foam Double sided tape Gems 6" x 6" card blank First you will need to cut your background paper to the same size as your card blank (6" x 6") - I used the Love Hearts paper but pick your favourite and then stick to the card blank using the double sided tape. Next cut a rectangle (6" x 3") from a complementary patterned paper - I chose to use the pink flowers and stick to the card using craft foam. Now it's time to cut out your shaker jar! Open your Cri

First Edition Making Memories Card

I could spend hours just looking through the Cricut Design Space, there is so much inspiration to be had and so many different projects! Whilst scrolling through the Design Space one Saturday afternoon I found the 'Hexagon Quilt Card', a cute card designed to look like a quilt. As soon as I saw it I thought of my mum, she is loves sewing and has recently started quilting classes, and it is her birthday soon. I decided to make the card using the First Edition Making Memories Paper Pad. This fun paper pad has quite a modern palette of pinks, purples and mint green with glitter accents. Adorned with beautiful hand lettering and elements including florals, hearts, love letters, and geometric patterns – it seemed perfect to create this Quilt Birthday Card. Firstly I found the Quilt Card Design on Cricut Design Space (Hexagon Quilt Card) and then picked which patterns to choose. I choose 5 different patterns from the Making Memories paper pad and teamed these up with a lila

First Card of 2020

January is the perfect time to stock up on craft supplies, there are so many sales and deals everywhere! This weekend I picked up the Docrafts Papermania Modern Deco 12" x 12" Paper Pad in The Range craft sale, I had always the paper pad but for some reason I never took the plunge to buy it. I am so glad I have brought it now, the patterns are absolutely gorgeous, it has all the glitz & glamour you would expect from paper based on the 1920's. Papermania's Modern Deco collection showcases lavish shades of silver and gold, mixed with  teal, navy, coral and grey. The paper pads also boast a marvellous selection designs featuring swanky rose gold foiling! This 1920's theme paper pad seemed the perfect patterned paper to use for my first card of 2020. To create this glitzy card I started by picking the perfect background pattern, the silver scallop design I picked is full of glamour and the perfect backdrop, I decided to team it with the striking black and

Llama Love

What is not to love about llamas? I love using different animals in my crafting and my favourite is always to use llama, especially one in a party hat.  The below card was the first kinetic card I had made and the first card I posted to crafty instagram ! I decided a party llama would be the perfect animal character to use for this card, teamed with the First Edition Let's Celebrate paper.   After using my party llama to create my first kinetic card I decided to brand out and create a kenetic heart card using an otter. Below are shaker llama cards I have created, I love any card that you can interact with as it makes it so much more fun for the recipient.
