You Are The Sprinkles On My Donut

Donut Shaker Card

Is there anyone who doesn't love donuts?! This shaker card is the perfect card to make for any donut fan 🍩 To make this card I used the Jillibean Soup Coffee & Donuts Stamp Set but you can use any donut stamp you might have in your collection.

Doughnut Shaker Card

To make the Donut Shaker Card you will need:
  • Jillibean Soup Coffee & Donuts Stamp Set (or any donut stamp you have)
  • Patterned paper - The stripe paper I used was from the Dovecraft Over The Rainbow 6" x 6" paper pad
  • Plain coloured paper
  • Black stamp pad
  • Embossing powder - I used Papermania Tinsel Gold
  • Heat tool
  • Sequins/confetti
  • Embellishments
  • Papercutter/scissors
  • Foam pads/tape
  • Double sided sticky tape
  • 6" x 6" card
To start with take your plain coloured paper and cut it to be 5.5" x 5.5" and get your stamps, stamp pad, embossing powder and heat tool ready so that you can access them quickly.

Start stamping your donuts in a line, I used the 'whole' donut stamp for 3 of them across and added in a 'bitten' donut stamp. Once one line is stamped add your embossing powder and then shake off any excess and heat with your heat tool. Then repeat with sprinkles stamp.

Continue stamping and embossing until the paper is covered in a cute donut pattern.

Next you need to cut out a circle from the center of the coloured paper, I used a die that was roughly 3.5"then cut a slightly smaller circle, around 3" out of the plain coloured paper (a piece that hadn't been stamped on).

Cut your vellum paper to 5" x 5" and attach the the back on the donut paper, then use double sided tape to attach the small plain circle to the middle of the card (so it shows a border of vellum paper.

Stamp on your sentiment to the small plain circle, I used the 'You are the sprinkles on my donut'

Now your ready to add your foam!

Add foam around the outer edge of your paper and then to around your cut out circle section.

In the centre of your patterned paper (I used the multi stripe from Dovecraft Over the Rainbow paper pad) put a small pile of the confetti or sequins you are going to use and then attach your donut paper to the patterned paper.

Now give it a good shake (hopefully no sequins fall out)

Add some extra embellishments and then use double sided sticky tape to attach to your blank card base.

Don't forget to tag me in your donuts cards @fadesco_makes

First Edition Making Memories Card

I could spend hours just looking through the Cricut Design Space, there is so much inspiration to be had and so many different projects! Whilst scrolling through the Design Space one Saturday afternoon I found the 'Hexagon Quilt Card', a cute card designed to look like a quilt. As soon as I saw it I thought of my mum, she is loves sewing and has recently started quilting classes, and it is her birthday soon. I decided to make the card using the First Edition Making Memories Paper Pad. This fun paper pad has quite a modern palette of pinks, purples and mint green with glitter accents. Adorned with beautiful hand lettering and elements including florals, hearts, love letters, and geometric patterns – it seemed perfect to create this Quilt Birthday Card. Firstly I found the Quilt Card Design on Cricut Design Space (Hexagon Quilt Card) and then picked which patterns to choose. I choose 5 different patterns from the Making Memories paper pad and teamed these up with a lila

My favourite part of Halloween is the sweets, I have a massive sweet tooth, so with the Emma Jewell Crafts October box I decided to make some Halloween treat bags! I used my Cricut Explore to cut out the bags using a Cricut Access template, I then finished off the sweet bags with glitter twine and filled with plenty of sweets! DIY Valentines Love Shaker Jar

Finally, January is nearly over! This month has felt like it would never end and I am definitely looking forward to February, the days will get lighter, pancake day (I LOVE pancakes) and Valentine's Day. I'm not much of a Valentine's person but I do love pretty patterned paper and will take any excuse to create a shaker card! To create this Cricut Made Card you will need: Paper Addicts Forever & Always  Dovecraft Adhesive Glitter Paper Acetate Sequins Craft foam Double sided tape Gems 6" x 6" card blank First you will need to cut your background paper to the same size as your card blank (6" x 6") - I used the Love Hearts paper but pick your favourite and then stick to the card blank using the double sided tape. Next cut a rectangle (6" x 3") from a complementary patterned paper - I chose to use the pink flowers and stick to the card using craft foam. Now it's time to cut out your shaker jar! Open your Cri
