DIY Hello Card

Sometimes it's nice to just send a card to say Hello, rather than waiting for a special occasion. With that in mind I decided to create this gorgeous Hello card using the Maggie Holmes Carousel paper & ephemera pack.

To make this card you will need

  • Maggie Holmes Carousel Fun Fair Papers
  • Maggie Holmes Carousel Ephemera Pack
  • Gold glitter card
  • 5" x 7" card blank
  • Paper cutter
  • Double sided tape

To start making the card you will need to cut a 5" x 7" rectangle out of the cream & gold pattern paper and stick this to your card base using double sided tape.

Next cut out a 6" x 4" rectangle from the yellow floral paper and 6" x 2" rectangle of the pink pattern paper.

Stick the patterned gift tag from your ephemera pack to the cream & gold paper and then layer the two rectangles you cut over the top (refer to picture for placement).

Now cut out your 'hello' sentiment from the gold card, I used my Cricut Explore to cut this out (image #M364D7 - delete the frame layer so you are left with just the hello) Resize the hello so its 5.5" long, once cut add to your card using double sided tape.

Finish the card by adding on the ticket to give it that magical touch!

Halloween Treat Bags

Happy Halloween! Halloween is just around the corner and soon you will have Trick or Treaters knocking on your door and Halloween parties to get dressed up for! My favourite part of Halloween is the sweets, I have a massive sweet tooth, so with the Emma Jewell Crafts October box I decided to make some Halloween treat bags! I used my Cricut Explore to cut out the bags using a Cricut Access template, I then finished off the sweet bags with glitter twine and filled with plenty of sweets! Why not try the Emma Jewell Crafts Box for yourself? Use code DT2019 to receive 20% off your first box!

First Edition Making Memories Card

I could spend hours just looking through the Cricut Design Space, there is so much inspiration to be had and so many different projects! Whilst scrolling through the Design Space one Saturday afternoon I found the 'Hexagon Quilt Card', a cute card designed to look like a quilt. As soon as I saw it I thought of my mum, she is loves sewing and has recently started quilting classes, and it is her birthday soon. I decided to make the card using the First Edition Making Memories Paper Pad. This fun paper pad has quite a modern palette of pinks, purples and mint green with glitter accents. Adorned with beautiful hand lettering and elements including florals, hearts, love letters, and geometric patterns – it seemed perfect to create this Quilt Birthday Card. Firstly I found the Quilt Card Design on Cricut Design Space (Hexagon Quilt Card) and then picked which patterns to choose. I choose 5 different patterns from the Making Memories paper pad and teamed these up with a lila

DIY Valentines Love Shaker Jar

Finally, January is nearly over! This month has felt like it would never end and I am definitely looking forward to February, the days will get lighter, pancake day (I LOVE pancakes) and Valentine's Day. I'm not much of a Valentine's person but I do love pretty patterned paper and will take any excuse to create a shaker card! To create this Cricut Made Card you will need: Paper Addicts Forever & Always  Dovecraft Adhesive Glitter Paper Acetate Sequins Craft foam Double sided tape Gems 6" x 6" card blank First you will need to cut your background paper to the same size as your card blank (6" x 6") - I used the Love Hearts paper but pick your favourite and then stick to the card blank using the double sided tape. Next cut a rectangle (6" x 3") from a complementary patterned paper - I chose to use the pink flowers and stick to the card using craft foam. Now it's time to cut out your shaker jar! Open your Cri
