DIY Valentines Love Shaker Jar

Finally, January is nearly over! This month has felt like it would never end and I am definitely looking forward to February, the days will get lighter, pancake day (I LOVE pancakes) and Valentine's Day.

I'm not much of a Valentine's person but I do love pretty patterned paper and will take any excuse to create a shaker card!

Paper Addicts Forever & Always Card

To create this Cricut Made Card you will need:

  • Paper Addicts Forever & Always
  • Dovecraft Adhesive Glitter Paper
  • Acetate
  • Sequins
  • Craft foam
  • Double sided tape
  • Gems
  • 6" x 6" card blank

First you will need to cut your background paper to the same size as your card blank (6" x 6") - I used the Love Hearts paper but pick your favourite and then stick to the card blank using the double sided tape.

Next cut a rectangle (6" x 3") from a complementary patterned paper - I chose to use the pink flowers and stick to the card using craft foam.

Now it's time to cut out your shaker jar! Open your Cricut Design Space and start a new project, in images search for Love Mason Jar (#MD7260A) and add to your project. In layers select the back layer and duplicate (this is for your acetate).
Resize the image to a height of 5" and click make it!

Cut out the outline of the jar with the Dovecraft Adhesive Glitter Paper, then cut out the background in a paper from the Paper Addicts Forever Always pad and in actate.

Stick the jar outline cut to the acetate to create the front of the shaker, on the back of the acetate attach craft foam to the edge (make sure to leave no gaps). Once done add some sequins and stick to the back patterned paper.
Finally attache the bow! Now your Love Shaker Jar is complete

Attach it to your card using the craft foam and finish with some gems.

DIY Bloom & Wonder Ideas Notebook

If you are anything like me then you will always get the greatest craft inspiration when you have no way of noting it down! I always tend to get sparks of inspiration for card making and crafting at random times, and I always forget them. To try and conquer this I decided to make myself an Ideas notebook, a small notebook that will fit in my handbag to allow me to write down these random craft ideas, making sure I don't forget them (though I may look at them later and wonder what the hell I was thinking). After a quick look through the Cricut Design Space I found a notebook shape that looked perfect, small size and easy to remove and add more pages. I decided to make the notebook using the First Edition Bloom & Wonder paper pad I had recently received from Trimcraft, it is gorgeous and I love just flicking through the paper pad so thought it might make a good inspiration sparker. Happy Halloween! Halloween is just around the corner and soon you will have Trick or Treaters knocking on your door and Halloween parties to get dressed up for! My favourite part of Halloween is the sweets, I have a massive sweet tooth, so with the Emma Jewell Crafts October box I decided to make some Halloween treat bags! I used my Cricut Explore to cut out the bags using a Cricut Access template, I then finished off the sweet bags with glitter twine and filled with plenty of sweets!
